Welcome to Bristol White Eagle Fencing Club: Home of Bristol Fencing Academy.

***Happy New Year! First session of the year this Wednesday, 3rd Jan.***

We are proud to be known as the friendliest, as well as one of the largest, fencing clubs in the South West. While we are a Sabre and Epee club, we have recently started counting the odd foilist into our number. Our home is (once again) The Oasis Academy Brightstowe, in leafy Shirehampton. Sound too far away from the centre of town? It’s just 7mins drive from The Downs or short zip along The Portway.

The White Eagle group members are of diverse origins, various ages (our youngest member is 6 and an all important half and the oldest over 60). New recruits from whatever background are welcome.

Club members have a wide range of ability from total beginners to those competing for their country. Members have an opportunity to compete in club competitions as well as trying out their skills at County, Regional and National Level. There is a thriving junior section consisting of Bristol Fencing Academy and our Junior Eagles Club and sessions are held in schools throughout Bristol.

You will be able to borrow all equipment needed to get you started - if you let us know you’re coming - your first session is free, and we guarantee to give you a warm welcome.

If you have never fenced before you might like to attend a drop in Beginners’ Lesson. You'll soon be swashbuckling with the best and the rest of us!

We hope to see you soon.
